Branislav Bajat is a Full Professor of geodesy and geoinformatics at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade. He was the Head of the Department from 2015 to 2018 and founder of the Laboratory for development of the open source geospatial technologies at the same Department. His main research area is the application of novel spatial and spatio-temporal statistical methodologies in geosciences and environmental disciplines. His experience includes the application multi- and interdisciplinary research on spatial knowledge in environmental sciences; GI research based on commercial and open source tools; application of data mining and machine learning techniques to spatio-temporal data.
