Jovan Kovačević is Senior Research Associate at Geological Survey of Serbia. He obtained his PhD at Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade. His research is focused on metallic mineral resources (uranium, gold, lead-zinc, copper, bismuth, antimony, iron etc.) of Serbia. He also investigated non-metallic mineral resources such as corundum, limestone, gabbro and basalt. He participated in several geoecological projects at Stara Planina, Golija and Pešter. Within the framework of scientific and technical cooperation with Lybia he worked on the project „Geological Map of Lybia“. Jovan Kovačević is a member of technical committee for the assessment of environmental impact studies and a member of state study review commission. He published a number of scientific research papers and reports.
