Milan M. Radovanovic, Principal Research Fellow, defended a Doctoral Thesis, titled Impact of Relief and Atmospheric Circulation on Climate Differentiation in Serbia, on 26 June 2001 at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade in Belgrade. Decided by the National Council for the Geo-heritage on 5 April 2002, he was appointed a head of the work group for climate elements of the geo-heritage. He has worked as a mentor to Ana Milanovic (graduate student, fellowship holder of the Ministry of Science and Technology) since 2002, while since 2003 to Marko Urosev. He has been an appointed member of the Administrative Committee of Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijic”, SASA in Belgrade since 2003. He has participated in master dissertation and doctoral thesis defenses being a commission member for several times. Decided by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Development no. 06-00-6/2139 from 10 April 2003, he received the degree Research Associate. He is working as an editor of collection of Papers of Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijic”, SASA in Belgrade. Based on the decision no. 181/1 from 6 October 2008, he is ap appointed an acting director of Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijic”, SASA in Belgrade. Based on the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science no.06-00-69/1261 he acquired the title of Senior Research Associate on 22 June 2011. He has become the national coordinator of the Regional Network of the Balkan, Black Sea and Caspian Sea countries for Space Weather Studies on the invitation of the vice-president PhD Katya Georgieva on 10 December 2015. Decided by the Executive Board of the SASA at the meeting held on 14 January 2016 (act no. 63/56-015), he was elected member of the Board for the Study of Kosovo and Metohija.
